Vote by mail is permanent, every registered voter will be sent a vote-by-mail ballot
By when do I have to mail my ballot?
Your ballot needs to be postmarked on or before Election day

California has early voting, you don’t have to wait until election day to vote.

Why is there a special election and who is eligible to vote?
The last day to register to vote is October 23, 2023.
A ballot will be mailed, around October 9, to every registered voter living in the old District 5 (prior to redistricting in 2022). Remember you will not receive a ballot unless the Registrar has your current mailing address.
