Are you 16 or 17 years old?

Pre-register to vote at registertovote.ca.gov

From October 22nd to November 5th, 2024
​
Eligible citizens who need to register or re-register to vote within 14 days of an election can do so at their county elections office or voting center.

On November 5th, 2024 (Election Day)

Find and visit your local voting center.
Who can register?
You have the right to vote if you are
​

A United States citizen and a resident of California,
-
18 years old or older on Election Day,
-
Not currently serving a state or federal prison term for the conviction of a felony, and
-
Not currently found mentally incompetent to vote by a court
​

Are you registered with "No Party Preference" but would still like to vote for a candidate in the Presidential Primary Election? The political parties have set the following rules:

To vote for a Republican, Green or Peace and Freedom presidential primary candidate, you must re-register as a party member.

To vote for a Democratic, Libertarian or American Independent presidential primary candidate, you must request a "crossover" ballot. Go HERE to learn more.​
